Sarah Bartlett, Chair

Sarah has had a home on Roaring Brook Lake since 2015 and is the founder and author of WatchingPutnamValley.com. A longtime journalist, she is the former dean of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and serves on several other nonprofit boards,

Ina Cholst, Vice Chair and Treasurer

Ina has lived on Roaring Brook Lake since 2010. She was president of the RBL Property Owners Association for 5 years, from 2015 to 2021 and remains an active member of the Board. She is the co-chair of the Town-appointed RBL Preservation Committee and she is on the board of directors of the NYS Federation of Lake Associations. In 2020, she wrote a successful $30,000 NYS DEC grant for the rehabilitation of the RBL dam. Ina, a gynecologist, is retired now from her faculty practice at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Kate Cunningham

Kate has lived on Roaring Brook Lake since 2004. She served as President of the RBL Garden Club for nine years and continues to foster many community-based activities with that organization. For 20 years, she was the executive director of Northern Ireland Children’s Enterprise (NICE), a nonprofit dedicated to promoting peace and reconciliation between communities in Northern Ireland.

Sam Dolnick

Sam and his family have had a home on Roaring Brook Lake since 2015. He is an award-winning journalist and deputy managing editor of The New York Times.

Marion Groetch, Secretary

Marion and her husband John found their new home and community on Roaring Brook Lake in 2017. Marion is a dietitian/nutritionist and Director of Nutrition Services at the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute and Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Throughout her career she has served on medical advisory boards to food allergy research and advocacy nonprofit organizations and is now looking forward to serving the RBL community.

Diane Jadoonauth

Diane has lived on Roaring Brook Lake for more than 34 years. Her two children attended local public schools and her late husband, Hari, served for four years on the Town Board. Diane is the Director of Nutrition Services at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT and an active member of the RBL Garden Club.

Robin Sullivan

Robin has lived on Roaring Brook Lake since 2015 and is secretary of the Roaring Brook Lake Garden Club. Prior to moving to the lake, she served as a law clerk for the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Little Rock, AR and worked as an executive chef for a management company. As a retired lawyer and chef, she is currently pursuing a career as a cheesemonger.

Eric Talley

Eric has lived on Roaring Brook Lake since 2019. He is a professor at Columbia Law School, where he also directs the Ira M. Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership. He has previously served on a variety of non-profit boards (both academic and non-academic). An avid cyclist and guitarist, Eric steadfastly keeps alive a 250-year old family sourdough starter (which he is more than happy to share with RBL neighbors).
