Stormwater Runoff

As we’ve seen in recent years, storms are becoming more severe and more frequent. Heavy storms are causing damage to our infrastructure and the environment. They decrease water quality through erosion and additional sediment accumulation.

We want to educate interested homeowners about rain gardens, permeable pavements and other steps they can take on their properties. We will be identifying speakers, educational programs and demonstration projects to aid in this endeavor.

In the long run, The Fund for RBL intends to seek grants to develop an engineering plan for stormwater management of the entire RBL District, assuring a comprehensive analysis of privately owned and public land.
